nothing to report really...

After two weeks I feel like everything has been done here. This house is clear. Hopefully classes will stimulate the brain very soon. Long days, no sleep and nothing but food and hang outs makes me contra-productive. All Systems Go! is always a saviour. Endless "To Do" lists keeps my head above water.

So, I finally went out the other day... A real jungle downtown. Heaps of bars, minors and cop cars. Like everywhere else the drug flow is overwhelming. Statistics have always shown us all about the effects, costs and damages of alcohol consumtion but it is constantly ignored. "Ethanol is the most widely used depressant in the world, and has been for thousands of years. This sense underlies the term alcoholism"...By the way - our collage has a dry campus policy - no alcohol allowed in any way... To many rules makes people want to break them... and people in herds... yeah, we all know how that can go...

Im trying not to make the connection between the high consumtion of alcohol around here and all the flyers and posters regarding sexual assaults and rape emergency hotlines. I have already heard a story about such a thing taking place recently. It happened to a boy, so nobody really took it seriously... We all know what would of happen if the victim was a girl... Reason defying policies and agendas...

Some nice quotes from the Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Statistics in Washington D.C in this matter:

"FOUR IN TEN CRIMINAL OFFENDERS REPORT ALCOHOL AS A FACTOR IN VIOLENCE".

"Two-thirds of the violent crime victims who were attacked by an intimate-a current or former spouse or a boyfriend or girl friend-report that alcohol had been a factor".

"Among spouse violence victims, three out of four incidents were reported to have involved alcohol use by the offender."

For more boring and sad statistics check out stuff like The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). Don't want to take this issue to far so please relax and have a drink or something. Calm down... No judgement really from my part... I'm just saying.

I started writing this blog a week ago and things are much better here in school (probably not with the statistics though), so a more positive post will be made within 2 days... I will cover some current and interesting news here in the U.S and some more music related stuff... Please feel no dispair, all is good here, even though it doesn't show in this post.

Proof?: I got new and awesome demo songs sent to me from ZANKA (hip hop) and DANGERS (hardcore/punk). Both are epic, on point and really really good. Syked to get to work on those...

Sorry for the slow pace with the blog... Ill get better.
